Recounts and Ramblings #20

Second post of the day. I'm not expecting you to understand what the previous post is about besides me rambling on about myself again. But to you the last paragraph probably makes no sense.

Anyway, here goes.

Dinners at cafes
Last Wednesday, met up with Avelin, Joey and Stefanie again for Bake and Brew, some ulu cafe on top of a hill near a graveyard. Peaceful and nice place. Met these two really kind, nice, and caring strangers who not only offered to lead us to the cafe (which is very hidden) , but also treated us to 2 cakes. I like them :D

Went to another cafe yesterday with them again. Unfortunately, Joey was having some stomach ache due to overfilling her stomach. The food there was quite good, but the portion was pathetic. It's quite an interesting place though.

Monday
Backtrack a little. On Monday, Matin, Mj, Cx, Avelin, Hazel and I went to pasir ris park to slack around. To others, it may be boring to stare at the sea for almost an hour, but it was something I feel is so refreshing and nice. Anyway, the playgrounds that we wanted to play at were under renovation. A pretty good day still :)

Yesterday
Jump back to yesterday. This post is super disorganised. Accompanied Guang Yi to school to return some books. Went to J-cube after that to look around and chat over Koi. It had been pretty long since we sat down and chat, in my opinion. Tried to head off earlier than usual to meet with Stefanie at Dakota for the cafe as mentioned earlier.

Today
Jump back to today. Hanged out with Cx and Avelin. Ate Manhattan at Plaza Singapura then went to walk around at the top level. Ended up window shopping at Spotlight, which is so big when you really look at it, and we actually stayed there for a pretty long time. Quite entertaining. Headed to Tampines's Ikea to have a look around. Cool furnitures. Ikea never fail to impress. Avelin had to go, so Cx and I just hanged around a little while more before heading off too.

Tuition
Apart from these random hanging out, I started my first tuition session with a primary one kid, for English. Quite likeable. Healthy lack of interest in studies but at the same time able to concentrate. Not too naughty :) Actually feel like a help to this guy, so I'm quite satisfied.

Sec 2 English and Sec 5 Geography were fine too. Their exams are coming, though, so it's quite stressful. For the English, I'm pretty confident I can help her boost at least a few marks, but the geography is a different story. I'm not too sure how to assist him other than spamming him with questions and recaping theories. He himself must do some work too, I guess. 4 sessions is too little to do much.

Anyway I'm quite looking forward to this weekend because it's my family chalet. Invited some friends along. Hopefully it'll be nice and not awkward.
