The last time I updated in this space about what had been going on in my life was about the previous fieldcamp. Although from my following entries, you could more or less guess what I felt and all that afterwards, I still want to recount on the things that happened between then till now. It had been one long month.
In terms of army, fieldcamp ended, and then we returned to company line and for the next week, we did some less high-key activities, followed by a lot of maintenance/admin, and then we had a simple ceremony to mark our graduation.
I learned that I got posted in artillery, and it was kind of discouraging when I heard that I got further posted into the most tiring out of all the artillery courses.
I've been pretty lost and I didn't have much of a grip for awhile, because it's just a recurring thing, but this week, I've come to the conclusion that there's no point in wondering too much about all these things - about where I would get posted to next, about how to make full use of my free time and all that. These are self-limiting thoughts and they make me sad.
On a brighter note, I hanged out with my secondary school friends a few times during weekends. The more noteworthy ones include celebrating Ru Wen's birthday at her party, having ramen with most of them the following day, and just getting to bitch to Jt and stuff. Also managed to catch a quick breakfast with Cx, a poly friend, after guard duty one morning. It's surprisingly pleasant to hear about what's been going on in my friends' lives.
Other than that, I have nothing much else to talk about. Life has been pretty empty recently. Lee Kuan Yew passed away and we all grieved for a week. It was quite sad.
I guess that's about it. Here's to brighter days.
