Enter a candle under the sun
Its flames burning
Its wax melting
Its presence subtle
Lonely on the road
And when the sun drops
And the sky darkens
And the air chills
It's then it glows
It's then a hub, a shelter
But then the sun shines
And its company disband
Its wax melting
Its presence subtle
Lonely on the road
And when the sun drops
And the sky darkens
And the air chills
The people gather again
So light and warmth it gives
But then the sun shines
And its company disband
And its body wanes
Its presence fading
Lonely on the road
That's when the dark clouds draw near
When the raindrops trickle
When the people drenched and cold
Pray upon its life
So light and warmth it gives
But the rain falls stronger
And the flames burn weaker
And the people drenched and cold
Pray upon its life
Till the flames fade into air
The candle dies
Its wax, its final teardrop
So the people grief
A hub, a shelter gone
From everywhere but hearts
