#21 Somewhere Different

So last Friday, my mood went downhill slightly and the night was pretty bad. As in, the evening-night was fine. The one that was bad was the midnight-night.

Friday
Met up with Cx, Avelin, Zi Wei, Hazel, Matin, Mj, Pascal, Wai Meng, Stefanie, and Joey to give Joey a surprise birthday celebration. We thought that the surprise was ruined when there was some miscommunication and Joey was let into the fact that Zi Wei would join us (supposedly Stef, Ave, Joey, and I) for dinner. Luckily she was still surprised :)

Had Seoul Garden. With some twisting of words, Stefanie seemed to have really "special" relationships with her bosses. And there was Joey and her "am I suppose to blow the candles?" o.o

After a filling dinner, we headed to the Singapore River to have a chat. Don't know what the others were doing, standing around and taking photos maybe? Mj, Cx and I had some pretty serious talk about friendship and such.

Had to rush home so that my family can head to our family chalet together. Then came the horribles, which, actually, I should not mention and should not even think about. To top it off, the chalet doesn't have any internet connection. I felt that it would be a horrible chalet since there would supposingly be a night when my sister's friends would be staying and my friends won't.

By the way, the chalet is a get-together sort of thing in which we invite our friends. It was also (mainly actually) to celebrate my sister's birthday.

Saturday
My parents offered to drive me to Hougang early morning to teach tuition. The primary one kid. Shall call him Yx, because I don't know whether I'm suppose to say his name or not. Just to be safe. Anyway, Yx is as cute as last week, and he actually tried to cheat in his spelling test -.- In a very fail way. He wrote down the spelling list and placed the piece of paper nicely into the bin and constantly looked at the bin during spelling :/

Which I think helped him remember because after I confiscated his bin and redid the spelling, most words were correct. Speaking of him, I have another session with him tomorrow, and it's probably going to be spelling after spelling, vocab test after vocab test, and dictation after dictation. Going to be tedious.

And then I went to meet Joshua for lunch. Chatted about our primary school days a little before I needed to head off. Hard to believe my primary school friend is one of my closer friends now, and the way we became friends again (after separating class) was kind of coincidental as well. Quite cool.

Headed to Boon Keng to teach Chu Wen English. Comprehension this time. Hope she does well for her exam, which was this Monday. Returned to Bishan to meet Guang Yi, Jt, Wei Jian, and Joshua (again) to head to the chalet together. Jt's father kindly fetched us there. It was quite ulu anyway, so bus does not go there.

Hanged around the beach, the kitchen (eating, not cooking), and then the room upstairs. Did the usual chalet thing: Cards, board games, etc. Went to play discounted bowling, arcade, and returned to commence the cake-cutting ceremony for my sister.

The rest of the night was a lot of slacking around, some mahjong, and some PS3.

Fell asleep on the sofa.

Sunday
Guang Yi, Joshua, and Wei Jian had to head off for the various reasons, so only Jt and I were left. Went cycling for a few hours, until it was 3pm. Had to clean up, return the bikes and head off as well because I still have tuition to teach. My parents kindly fetched me to hougang again and also fetched Jt home.

Combined Gaography day. It was as per normal, I guess, and we finally finished revising the syllables. Left with spamming questions. This week's session is going to be another tedious one.

Went back to the chalet, BBQed a little, watched shows, and returned home because my family didn't see a point in staying another night. A lot of rushing to do the next morning, so might as well.

Monday
Jt accompanied me to NEX to get a present for my sister. Didn't know what she would like, so got her a game she is (hopefully) familiar with. Watched 'Resident Evil: Retribution' with Jt. It was a pretty fun to watch movie, as in there were a lot of action scenes that were upbeat and exciting. A lot of act-cool moments though :/

Met up with Guang Yi and Wei Jian to go to Ru Wen's mum's zi car stall again. We were all super hungry, so we literally gobbled up the food. Didn't help them to fold boxes today; Kind of miss doing it :S Had dessert and chatted before returning home.

Tuesday
Gym with Jt again. This time, went to Toa Payoh gym instead of Bishan gym and I realised how unproductive the machines in Bishan gym were. Over there, no matter how heavy I set them, it just doesn't seem to work the muscles that much. Toa Payoh gym taught me what is really called 'productive' :O

Also borrowed a few interesting books on that day.

Wednesday and Thursday
For both days, stayed at home in the morning and went to tutor Chu Wen science in the evening. Luckily, the content was similar to the upper secondary ones. Hope she can do well. Heard that the English paper was pretty simple.

Thursday night, Bishan Park, batminton.

Friday
Bishan Park again. This time, it's with my poly group of friends. Didn't go really well. Shall not elaborate. A lot of walking. A lot of indecisive weather. And we finally got to AMK hub in the end because Bishan Park is just not the right place for us to hang out.

There's going to be English tuition for Yx tomorrow again :/ On the bright side, there's no more tuition for Chu Wen's English because her paper was over :D I'm really tired of going to and fro hougang, serangoon, and boon keng :S

Oh, by the way, on a negative note, call me paranoid, but I feel that I know what's going on with certain things. I know I can't be more vague, but let's just say it's okay because getting pissed over trivial things will just make your life miserable. If you can't let go of stupid little imperfections, no one should actually bother changing for you.
