I'll be lying if I say that I'm not afraid of NS, but also proud to say that I'm not exactly dreading it. I used to get depressed at the thought of it. That's probably because of age and stuff, having been through slightly more experience and all that.
So I've been meeting some friends who got into NS first, though less often, and more of my friends/acquaintances got in too, and soon, 'National Service' will become a large part of every conversation I'm in. But the time is drawing closer, and I already feel like the calendar is doing a countdown for me - July, August, September, October, and then Enlistment.
So this month, I've mostly been searching for food sponsors for the show we're working on, which is actually slightly more interesting than it seems, but at the same time, kind of repulsive. It's essentially begging people, since not a lot of "potential sponsors" really see the point in text credit.
But it's interesting because of the different kind of reactions people give. There was one day, when I was out searching because I ran out of brands to email and numbers to call. I got really tired but went to ask a fruit juice stall, and then the boss just treated me an apple juice, which really cheered me up.
It's also quite sad how it's affecting the normal way I view things. Now, whenever I see a brand I've not thought of, I immediately think about sponsorship.
On a happier note, Jt, Li Yuan, Justin, Syahindah, Jeannette, and I had a stay-over at Jt's. Specifically, her roof. It was a nice place, being able to see the stars and being really peaceful and all. So we just chatted, played 'I have never', talked about bullying, slept, and so on. Then we woke up to watch the sun rise. It's a nice roof.
In the meantime, I started prepping for university application, doing research and all, and I got a new phone :D It's a Sony Xperia Z2. I intended to get a Nokia Lumia 930, but I was told there wasn't any Nokia or Windows-operated phones anymore in any Starhub branches. I then learned about how awesome my new phone is, so I guess Android is okay too. It's exterior is also really beautiful. That's like half the battle won already.
I guess that's the more prominent/recent things so far this month. Can't wait for that tiny gap between end of production and enlistment date :'S
