Just finished watching this very nice Japanese drama called "Kaseifu no Mita". It's great it has a lot of technical flaws, but the emotions felt while watching it easily override its weaknesses. This show is about a family who lost their mother to suicide because the father cheated on the mother, and an emotionless housekeeper help guide the family through the tough times. The plot is really simple, but the characters totally captured my heart and I couldn't help but start tearing up episode after episode.
It starts by showing the grief of the youngest son over bullying atop losing his mother.
But this guy is the one I feel least for.
I love the following characters.
Her name is Kii. When the family found out that the cause of the mother's suicide is the father's betrayal, this little girl, the youngest child, was the only one who forgave the father. She's cute and lovable, and usually is the one who brings the peak of the emotions in the scene because she's a little girl.
This guy is Kakeru. An episode that is dedicated to this guy made me feel really sad. All the episodes before this particular one didn't show much about him; He seems like the happiest one. At one point, it seems like his frustration towards his dad has taken over him, until it is revealed that all he wanted was to protect his family. Very touching.
This girl is the oldest member of the family, Yui. She's the most unforgiving, but once she forgave her father, the family started binding together again.
It's a really nice and heartwarming show. It's actually also partly about the housekeeper. There's really nice development in the character. We see how they change throughout the story and their psyche. It gets really emotional at times. This is why I like Japanese productions :)
