#52 Productive Productions

It felt like at least 500 billion years since my last entry to me. Nowadays when I open up Blogger, I just feel lost and wordless. Probably writer's blog? Haha. Regrettably, I'm still going to be talking about my not-very-interesting life, since that's the only thing that doesn't give me a block.

My birthday
Which was super long ago. I didn't do much during my birthday, but hanged out at some pub belonging to my friend's mum's friend. Ru Wen, her mum, Jt, Guang Yi, and me. Basically, it was a relatively chill place, and I learned about Gin, which is a nice spirits kind of thing. Also ate nuts, which is an important detail because of the fact that we were dropping nuts into one another's cup. Then there was also this public karaoke thing, so Ru Wen, Jt and me sang a little. That's basically it for my birthday! :)

School
I think it had been 5 weeks since school resumed. Around there. So, it had basically been a mad rush of assignments, such as our FYP, filmmaking film, media entrepreneurship business idea, and iBook.

FYP was painful. Our premise just did not cut, plus it didn't help that we started a little late. So, at first, we kind of had a range of concepts that were so-so, but after consulting Stella, she managed to mix two of them to create an interesting one: A comedy about a girl using a wish-granting twitter account to bring back her ex-boyfriend. But it didn't work because every episode would be too repetitive, so we changed the concept at a later stage. There were a lot of changes here and there until we finally have one now, which is about this woman whose fiance got cursed and suddenly thought that he was suppose to marry another woman. The wedding is in 3 days. Hope we nail it down this time, because we are forever stuck at the concept, and everything else (our website and trailer) have to suit the concept.

Filmmaking is over! At least for me. It was a lot of pre-production and a stressful 12-hour whole-day shoot. It was fun while it lasted, but our film was a tough one to prepare and shoot because we had to direct a dog and a kid, find adults to act for us, shoot many many scenes (Chee Teng discouraged us from going beyond 2 scenes :P), and manipulate a swing. We wanted to create an effect that seems like a teddy bear is swinging on a swing, so Yvette had to use a fishing line to control the swing o.o And this was my first time taking on the director role. It's stressful but kind of interesting. Kind of sad that we could not achieve what I pictured though.

There was also a business assignment in which we were supposed to come up with a business idea related to media. My group came up with a themed cinema idea, which I shall not elaborate on. But it went well. My group was super on, preparing tickets and posters for our cinema.

Finally, there was also a project in which we created our own iBook. We were suppose to publish the book ourselves, but Esman decided to help us publish them instead so that SP could put a price to our book. We will also be promoting our book in our media entrepreneurship module. Quite exciting. Also had to do another iBook to be submitted for SP's Mob Fest. Worked in this group (Hanissah, Stef, CX, Zi Wei, and me) for a very long time this semester. It's like our second FYP.

Speaking of which, my dip-plus, applied psychology, also had an FYP-like thing this semester, but it's done! Facilitated 2 lessons, then did a group presentation and individual presentation. Wrote my own individual report, left with group report. It had been a fun ride.

Miscellaneous
Recently, I realise that I may be lactose intolerant, but according to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), there's a "cure" for that. Once again, it's all about the balance of heaty and cooling energy. But TCM always have a solution, that's why I love it.

Oh, and nowadays our lecturers had been talking about our internship and some of my classmates (i.e. Zi Wei) had already went for interviews and sent their CV and stuffs already. Kind of scared but kind of excited too. Wonder how it's going to be like. Can't help holding on to some hopes of an enriching, stressful, but fun internship. The fun bit may be a stretch though.

Of course, I also remember what comes after internship - army. Not necessarily put off by the fact that I have to go for NS, but I don't like how everyone just keeps talking about how tough it's going to be. It's happening later on, so face it later! By the way, "face it later" is a thing I've learned from my all-time favourite character. Just saying.

Anyway, the point is, because everyone had been training up for their napfa, I had started too. And I'm feeling more and more productive as days go by~ *action only*

I guess that's all I shall talk about here. Bye.
