Okay, the kyushu field trip blog is nearly completed, mostly thanks to jasmine. And my post is up! :D But, it's being edited quite a lot. But majority of it is still by me. So, you must visit.

Anyway, my brother, cousin (kenneth) and i were supposed to go to the anime fest yesterday. But, sadly, my cousin could not make it. So, we decided not to, and we went swimming instead, which was fun! I requested my mother to let me have basic swimming class. Usually, she'll be like "must wait until have money ma" or something like that, but this time she just said, "orh. But only the basic" or something like that :D

Then we went to grandma's house. And then went home and chatted about lots of things for a very long time, then went to sleep. Don't feel like going out today. Bye~

I'm feeling so bored now, so i think i'll just blog. I've started really using facebook nowadays to prevent myself from getting crazy out of boredom. I'm bored. Bored. :(

Monday, went to watch 2012 with my family, and it wasn't a very nice show.

Today, went to school for japan trip project. So, we're supposed to finish up the trip's blog, and i'm supposed to blog about the honda factory and farm stay, and i did. But, i don't have the pictures yet. Oh, you should visit. I advertise it here. Got 2 websites, 1 teacher 1 students.

I've been watching fairytail anime, and not one piece because i believe one piece have started to go into a filler arc or something like that. And it's irritating because one piece seldom have fillers.

Anyway, I'm bored. 我感到很闷。

Yesterday, i came back from japan and i blogged twice, one for fun. So, i'm going to continue with where i left off, which is the more interesting part. But, i forgot to talk about the hot spring and the japanese kind of hotel.

Hot spring
So, it was actually quite interesting. When we entered, it was very hot, though not as hot as i expected, but still not-so-bearable. It was kind of difficult to breathe, and we got exhausted when we got out. But for day 3, when we also had hot spring, we no longer felt out of breathe. And for day 3, the hotel have got 3 hot springs and we tried all of them :D But i wasn't very keen on doing that.

Bus ferry
The next day, we used the bus ferry, which was a kind of big ship and it was very interesting. We went to the open area and saw seagulls, which we were allowed to feed. It was very beautiful and more than i've expected. They were very chaotic but fun. The whole area was interesting.

They flew very close to us.

I was standing at the back of the very big crowd, but zoomed in to take this.

It was very exciting, even the atmosphere and all those stuff. So, i took a video.

Kumamoto Castle
We arrived at this castle and, once again, i'm going to show you some pictures.

The outside of the castle.

The castle's outside and entrance.

Mr Lee with a samurai.

Mrs Goh with the samurai.

Shirakawa Riverhead
The next place we went was this beautiful place, which is on a mountain. It's a natural fountain which is beautiful. It was cold, and i took some pictures of the river when they were in the toilet, and when walking.

We started walking and reached this very interesting spring thing.

Although it was a spring, we could drink the water. It was very pure and boiled-water-like. And we used those metal things to drink or refill bottles. The people there sell bottles with that spring thing wrapper and i bought one, since it was so interesting plus i was feeling thirsty.

A picture of that bottle of water. There were a lot and, throughout the trip, i drank it up. So, at the last day of the trip, i've decided that it's too big to bring back home, and sadly took a picture of it. And the background was the last day's hotel, and it was very nice, especially the orangeness.

Anyway, after that, we went ahead to a japanese shrine. Those that you watched in anime whereby they go during new year to pray for wishes and read fortunes, and we could do that, and also to tie fortune slips on something over there if we consider it as bad luck. It was very interesting, but because my hands were full, i could only get the time to take one photo when we were leaving.

Soba
Then, we went to an eating place and made our own soba :D It was fun. I made with jasmine, charleston and jodi. Charleston and jodi can't seem to get along well, but it was fun. And the old lady teaching us was kind of cute, with her random expressive voices.

But we left the cooking to the people there because we only needed to shape it and stuff. Then we ate the soba that we shaped.

And i did not take any photos because i left my camera in the bus, if i'm not wrong.

Some random pictures

Mount Aso
This is an active volcano and we went there! It was exciting and beautiful. Mr Lee said that we were in the crater of the volcano and we could look inside. There was green water and lots of steam. It was amazing.

Conclusion for Day 3
Although it seemed like a long day, it felt like a short day. We had hot spring again, just like day 2 and i slept with charleston, calvin tan, dannel and brian.

There were marshmallows
If you look at the title of the post 2 post ago, you'll see "Marshmallows on the mountain". And that was one of the most amusing thing about this trip. We saw giant marshmallows on a mountain. There were lots of it. And even the tour guide was amused and said, "I've never seen it before!" Of all things, it looked exactly like marshmallows! And jasmine got extremely high due to the marshmallows. Anyway, it was like a fantasy movie and the marshmallows were from the top to the bottom of the mountain. It was incredible. But, we were either too shocked or have too little time to take a photo.

Honda Factory
It was a factory where many physically challenged people working there. It was friendly to them. And the whole place was very convenient for the wheelchair people. They totally looked into details and it was really amazing.

The red thing at the back is also part of the car.

Farm Stay
My favourite part. At first it felt stressful that i have to stay in someone else's house, but then it turned out great.

At first, we made mochi, and i made with jasmine, charleston, joyce, sara, chung an and another person whose name i'm not sure. It was rather interesting but the taste wasn't very. We ate the mochi with the host family. And i was in the same host family as charleston.

The people were extremely caring and warm. It was great and i miss them now. We chatted for the night although they could not speak english and we could not speak japan. Charleston communicated by writing kanji. And we were talking and using hand signals, expressions, etc. It was kind of fun. We had some laughs over this. Then, we sand the song Kitaguni no Haru with the family.

Their house was amazing. It was big and high-tech. They had 3 guest toilets. 1 male, 1 female, 1 "handicap". They also have this second house thing. And they grow nira, which is, i think, cong, some sort of vegetables. And think they grow oranges and rice. They cook, and it was nice.

So, we slept at night and the next morning, we woke up early to have a "tour" around the farm. And i shall let picture talk.

We had to leave and so we took some group photos.

This is my favourite photo.

Then, Kida-san, the lady, drove us to the meeting area and we took another photo.

Conclusion for Day 4
I miss the farm stay :( And the host family. And, it was a great day.

The last day
And, the last day of the trip, we went to some environment museum thing and it was okay, and then to a disaster prevention centre, where we practiced using the fire extinguisher to extinguish a fire in a screen. They were very high tech.

Then, they let us experience artificial earthquake and typhoon.

Couldn't take a picture of myself, so just took other people. And i shall not put every single picture here.

Okay, some random photos.

After that, we went shopping and i rushed to get the souvenirs. And i'm glad my family liked/appreciated them.

Then, we went back to the hotel.

Conclusion for Day 5
Not bad. And that is all.

The plane back
Played super mario, watched "up" until half then got bored and played super mario again. Slept, then reached back to singapore. It had been a great trip. I'll miss it.

Humanities Trip: Japan :D - Kyushu
Sunday, November 15, 2009

Okay, so, if you've seen 2 post ago, you'll know that "I'll be going to japan in, like, 3 days! :D" or something like that. And the previous post tell you that i'm back and you miss me. :) So, i shall blog now.

I can't get used to singapore already o_o too used to kyushu. Like, there's a lot of different and i got used to living in hotel and feeling unhappy about the fact that i need to manage stuff like clothes and all those o_o And, unlike singapore, the japanese people are extremely polite, bowing and smiling and stuff. And when i returned to singapore, "(D;) (-_-) (:|) etc" o_o And the temperature! When we arrived at singapore, the announcement said, "The temperature is 31 degrees" and i was so used to hearing like 10-20 degrees that i found singapore's temperature kind of amusing o_o During autumn.

But at japan, i've got homesickness. But nvm, since it was so fun and interesting! :D

So, i'm in the same group, grp 2, as jasmine, charleston, si hui and wei kiat. Kind of interesting to be in this group. And mr clement chua, who is a nice and gentle and friendly teacher, mrs goh, who is a friendly and encouraging teacher, and mr lee, who is a knowledgeable and friendly teacher, went too. And our tour guide was kind of funny and cool.

In the plane
So, let's just start talking about what happened day after day. First day, after the day that we took off from the airport at night, the morning, we saw sunrise from the plane!

A truly beautiful view. It was magnificent.

Oh. Jasmine and i did not sleep because we couldn't. So, we spent the night on the screen thing :) Singapore airline rocks :D

Japan
The people there were incredibly warm. We were welcomed with singapore flag! Then, we were introduced to our very nice tour guide, keiko-san! Sadly, i do not have a picture of her yet. We did take a picture together, but using charleston's camera. So, i'm getting him to send it to me.

Science/Space Museum

So, we reached our first destination and it was cold. Naturally cold! And we were impressed, or at least some of us were. Pardon me, you'll see lots of exclamation marks in this very long blog post.

Then, we went to the toilet, and

it was very high tech!

After that, we went around and looked around. Of course, i took some photos. But, i shall just show those that were more interesting

----------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------

This machine moved front and back very slowly for some reasons that i actually didn't know. Everything is written and spoken in japan.

Spinning.

Primary school students playing in that playground-like thing which seemed to be a lot of fun.

This is cool. Shining the light on the plane got it moving.

Yes, this thing spinned very fast and the one on it was me. It was scary but fun. Some space thing. I did take pictures of other people in this same thing but it'll get kind of repetitive. So, i shall just proceed to showing you a picture of mrs goh

on this moonwalk thing and she jumped and jumped. I heard that it was quite fun, but i did not try. Again, many people tried this but i'll not put the pictures here. Maybe i can put the whole chunk in facebook later or tomorrow or something.

A scenery from the window.

Drinks.

Chinatown
Yeah, there's a chinatown there too. I bought an umbrella because it was raining. It was the transparent plastic kind that almost nobody use in singapore. Many of us were carrying that, and it was kind of cool. We took a group photo with that but it's not in my camera. The sad thing is, i left my umbrella in the hotel restaurant. :(

Nagasaki Peace Park and Museum
Okay, yes, it's long. You probably have to scroll like mad. But i refuse to just link you to a facebook page or stuff. It's okay for you, i know that. Luckily, i'm less interested in this part so i'll let picture talk for awhile.

History: The people in nagasaki were victims of "fat man" the atomic bomb, and many bautiful nature and resources were ruined. Lives were lost and stuff. To them, water was very precious and it is very rude to play with the water there. And we heard a story from a survivor of atomic bomb. From his emotions, i could tell how sad he was.

Dinner
We had a nice and cool buffet for dinner. For lunch, which i wasn't intending to talk about but i am anyway, we ate japanese food and mr chua called me "the struggler" because it seemed as though i was struggling to finish the food o_o

Conclusion for Day 1
A very tiring and boring day for me and i almost fell asleep and almost got sick. But! The next few days were awesome.

Our hotel. Small but nice.

Visiting a high school
Sorry i forgot what that high school was called. I think it's Seryuu High School or something, but i can't make sure. Anyway, it was good. At first, they showed us a video and then performed a very interesting traditional dance. Then, si en and charleston presented about singapore and guangyang with almost no detail at all due to time constraint. Then, we sang three songs to them; Home, Bengawan Solo, Kitaguni no Haru. Then, we "exchanged". Like, talk and tour the school and took lots of pictures. But, once again, the pictures are not in my camera. But i'll post them once i get them. Probably. But here are some other pictures.

Wei Kiat was "fighting" with a japanese student.

And he won.

Unzen Jigoku
This was a very windy, cold and beautiful mountain. Although cold, the wind was lots of fun!

Lots of steam, but cold.

Beautiful sakura, and our tour guide.

Mr Lee the lover of nature.

Mr Chua the great.

The town buried in volcano
Once again, i forgot what it's called. They are all real.

After that, we went shopping for food things to buy home.

Conclusion for Day 2
It was fun. The End.

I was intending to blog about the whole trip, but i guess not. Let's leave Day 3 onwards to tomorrow, since i'll be so free :D Plus, you can't read this long thing in one go. I know you're bored from the start. But, if you were not, thank you for reading :)

Oh, if you're very bored and feel like killing time, maybe you should count the number of ":D", ":)", "!" and the word "interesting" appearing in this post.

Also, i have to blog about this now. I'm so happy that my family liked/appreciated what i've gotten for them! :D :D :D !!! Okay, so, bye~

Headstart programme have finally ended! :D And i feel so free~ or maybe not yet. I still have the stress of going for the humanities trip. Yes, you'll probably wonder why i have such stress when i'm going to japan. I fear that i'll have homesickness :( but nevermind, since i'm not the only one. It's good to be open. And because people are open, i got to know that they'll also get homesick, and that i'm not alone! :D

Anyway, first period today was poa again, and it was kind of boring. After that was my least favourite subject, chemistry. I didn't know how that 1 hour actually managed to just fly over. We were not supposed to have recess in the canteen because of the o levels, but some people, including those rule-abiding ones, went ahead and buy stuff from the canteen, like me. BUT! We were extremely considerate and did not make any noise, practically no sound at all. So, it should be alright. We were given free biscuits. Since they're free, of course, i took some and also took the leftovers :D Oh, i still have one packet left now :D And it's not ahma, it's auntie. Not sure who said that i'm like ahma. Oh, anyway, after recess was bio, which was alright, followed by fn. Did the pair project thing with wei jian and, surprisingly, he allowed me to decide everything, although it felt kind of weird, like i'm telling him what to do. You won't believe what i'm about to say; it was kind of fun.

After school, had a 50 minutes maths remedial on box-and-whiskers. If mrs ng continue to teach, i believe i'll be able to do well next year. Not taht ms tan is not good, but mrs ng teach at a slower pace, a pace more suitable for me. Japan trip meeting after that. It was rather exciting because it really reminded me that i'm going to fly to japan in, like, 3 days time! :D :D :D :D :D

Actually, i don't like the fact that i've typed so long just for yet another ordinary day, but nevermind.

I've read blogs, and that included melvin's and jasmine's. Melvin mentioned about a foreigner talking to him, and i thought it was rather interesting. I'm in no position to criticise the people in singapore because i'm one of them and i'm not one of those who criticise other people for mistakes that he himself make, so i shall use myself as an example instead. People like me will not talk to a person they just met. We just refuse to, like, behave more openly and warmly. :( And jasmine's blog is always talking about something different, although i don't understand some of them.

And i'm beginning to find it harder and harder to stand a certain person. No, not the one you're thinking, it's another one. Someone i've almost never talked bad about. WE should not bottle everything up but instead dispose of them. And i'm constantly doing it in secret. In other words, you don't know when i'm secretly talking bad about someone to you.

A little outside
Wednesday, November 04, 2009

Today's school was rather interesting. First period for the headstart programme was poa, where mr kok took over. He taught okayly and then next period was ss, which is when we did a practice paper. Recess, then bio experiment. We were showed a video and slideshow about this lady and chimpanzee. Then, geography, which was rather interesting. The first thing mrs cheong asked was "A or B", which was kind of "???" and i ended up choosing A. We did a debate. And my group did on supporting deforestation, and it ended up okay.

After an hour, we had the japan trip meeting, and we learnt some japan stuff and phrases, and then rehearsed for the song that we're supposed to perform. It was a rather interesting meeting. Okay, that's all. Bye~

Body language
Monday, November 02, 2009

I'm so pissed off at a certain classmate! He did nothing but showed me body language with his i-am-so-cool-yet-i-am-annoyed face, and i can't stand it.

Anyway, lessons were okay. Geography was interesting and ss was horrible because of IT stuff, and i should stop being the IT rep next year onwards. But, come to think of it, i only need to do stuff during ss, english and tolerate that classmate's you-are-so-useless kind of attitude. I'm not good at IT stuff i have got no interest in it at all. I'm the IT rep because it will be reflected in the leaving cert and there's nothing much to do anyway. Maybe i shall continue being the IT rep anyway. Anyway, other than that ss was okay. Recess, then poa. No teacher came in, not mr ong, not mr kok, not mr goh. So, nothing much happened throughout the whole 2 periods. After that was maths. Resplitted. The only difference was some of my classmates got to ms tan's class and others remained in mrs ng's. And mr chan is no longer teaching us.

After school, went around asking people to stay back with me. And in the end, just went to a bubbletea shop nearby my/wei jian's grandma's house. After that, went back to school alone and found out that jasmine had been sitting alone for so long, and i could've chatted with her instead of going around doing meaningless stuff to kill time. So, we went into the IT room and had the japan trip meeting. Singing songs and groupings and rooming. I don't mind any of it, kind of fun, although the japanese song is a bit old. We'll be presenting about singapore and gyss in a japanese school and performing 3 songs and presenting about the trip to the school o_o But by we i don't really mean all of us. Charleston and si en would be presenting about singapore and it's going to be so proud-worthy. Songs is sing together and stuff. Now, i really can't wait. Excitement is finally drawing near.

Anyway, i've just searched google for ways to gain weight, and in terms of diet, i found out that i should eat more potatoes, banana, milk, fruit juice and stuff. Of course, i just picked those that i like. I'm spoiled :) Maybe i shouldn't be smiling about it. Ok, a long post. Bye~

Happy Halloween!

Sadly, i don't think i'll be doing anything today

Desires + jealousy
Thursday, October 29, 2009

Firstly, today, checked the cca cert thing, and i found out that i've gotten ZERO cca points :( I wonder why i even went, since it added up to nothing.

Next, i got very unhappy for the whole day for almost no proper reason at all :( Not angry, but sad. For no reason. And lessons were all boring except for geography. No bio today because of extremely long morning assembly although mrs tan didn't go up to talk. So, after very short geography period, we went to do a survey, and went back to class for geography again, and we didn't do anything. Chinese was boring. Mr zhang wang got SO confused and kept shouting for mysterious reasons o_o He's like always so stressed up like that. Anyway, after that was chemistry. For a reason, mrs loy couldn't give us lesson so ms lin took over. Fierce but funny. And she can teach better, although she only taught for like 5 minutes then the rest is time for us to practice. Recess, then FN. Lesson on digestion, absorption and a little on assimilation, which we learnt in bio, just slightly more detailed. By right i am allowed to go for some sunrise cooking thing, but couldn't because i have got humanities trip.

After school was to go home straight, and get bored for the rest of the day. I need some life, but everyone is so busy. My siblings spend time with their friends and have school and stuff. Man kit, who often refuse to go where i like/want to go, is busy at work. And others seem to not like to go out. :( - :( - :( - :( - :( - ... - ... - ... - :| - :| - :| - :| - :) - :) - :) - :) - :D - :D - :D
